You can't miss historic Pigeon Point Lighthouse on Highway 1, roughly half way between Half Moon Bay and Santa Cruz.
Nearby is the Ano Nuevo area, which is a prime breeding area for elephant seals.

These two gentle souls were enjoying life near Hicks Valley Road.   This unspoiled area is west of Petaluma, and north-west of Novato, and is probably best known for The Cheese Factory, which is a popular picnic place for both humans and ducks.
